The Aim of the Charity

The Studio sign
  1. To promote, maintain and advance the education of the public in the appreciation and practice of participatory arts and associated disciplines;
  2. To advance the education of unemployed persons resident in Hartlepool and the surrounding area through the provision of such training facilities as will enable those persons to acquire and develop vocational skills.

What is The Studio

The Studio is an independent community organisation offering easy access to high quality recording, rehearsal, training and performance facilities with special emphasis given to unwaged people offered through subsidised prices. The Studio is a facilitator helping to engage the local population in music either as trainee, performer or spectator. It encourages participation in and enjoyment of music by all members of the community, particularly those disadvantaged people who have had little opportunity to experience and enjoy arts activities through lack of easy access or lack of money. It is a place where people can meet, create and develop their ideas and skills using professional equipment in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

Structure

Hartlepool Community Studio is a Registered charity no 1056000  Company Limited by Guarantee no 3017582.                              VAT registration no 883265203.

The Studio is overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors and Trustees who meet monthly. Anyone interested in getting involved in this way should contact the Studio Manager.
