Training @ The Studio

The Studio runs courses in sound recording, music technology, Cubase, DJ skills, song writing and live sound engineering. The training is designed to provide the maximum amount of hands-on experience by limiting the number of training places available on each course. The courses are very accessible and suitable for beginners or for people with some experience. All courses take place at the Studio.

One of the aims of the Studio charity is to advance the education of those unemployed persons resident in Hartlepool and surrounding areas through the provision of such training facilities as will enable those persons to acquire and develop vocational skills. Courses are run through a franchise agreement with Hartlepool College of Further Education. Through this training we hope to encourage unemployed people back onto the first step of the education/employment ladder.

Concessions are for people who are over 19, unwaged and in receipt of benefits or in full time college education.

Steinberg Approved Training Centre

The Studio is one of only fourteen centres in the UK to be awarded the status of an Approved Steinberg Training Centre. This means it has had to comply with the strict criteria outlined by Steinberg, the creator of international industry standard music software including the well-known Cubase programme. This guarantees that the facilities and course content on offer is of the highest quality. Pathway to Music Technology teaches Cubase SX.
